Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented IT Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for recent IT graduates or individuals with up to two years of experience looking to build a career in IT support and systems maintenance. The IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring smooth operation of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Support

• Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or in-person.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues for end-users.
• Install, configure, and update software and hardware systems.

Network Maintenance

• Assist in setting up and maintaining LAN, WAN, and VPN connections.
• Ensure connectivity and monitor network performance to prevent downtime.

System Administration

• Support the deployment of new IT systems and infrastructure.
• Perform routine system maintenance, updates, and backups.

Hardware Management

• Set up and configure new desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Manage and repair IT equipment as required.

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of technical issues and solutions.
• Assist in documenting IT processes and user manuals.

Security and Compliance

• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and protocols.
• Assist in implementing antivirus solutions and other security measures.

Skills and Qualifications

Educational Background : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Technical Proficiency :

• Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications.
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, macOS, or Linux.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic troubleshooting tools.

Soft Skills :

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Certifications (Preferred) : CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals, or similar certifications.
