Role Overview: As our IT Desktop Support Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth operation of our internal & clients\' IT environments. You\'ll be the go-to person for diagnosing and resolving technical issues, offering top-tier customer service, and ensuring that our clients\' systems are running optimally. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support to end-users, utilising various channels such as in-person, phone, email, and remote tools.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues with efficiency and precision.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to tackle complex technical challenges and contribute to ongoing projects.
  • Install, configure, and maintain a range of hardware devices and software applications.
  • Ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest patches and security measures.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access to IT resources.
  • Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions for future reference.
  • Offer remote support to off-site users, resolving technical problems seamlessly.
  • Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate\'s or bachelor\'s degree in IT or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in desktop support and troubleshooting within a professional environment.
  • Proficiency in various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common software applications.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and configurations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and the ability to remain composed under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with users of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a dedication to delivering exceptional support.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST), or similar will be highly regarded.
