Roles and Responsibilities:-Key Skill Set Required:

• Technical Graduate with VMware Certification.
• VMware Backup Knowledge.
• Storage Management (SAN in-intermediate knowledge).
• Experience in Windows 2012/2016/2019 and Linux.
• Windows and Linux Patch Management.

Good to Have:

• VMware knowledge for installation and maintenance.
• SAN Switch configuration and maintenance knowledge.
• Good Inventory controls and documentation knowledge.

Personal Qualities:

• Team Player
• Good Trouble Shooting knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Work as a coach for junior engineers / Staff

IT Support Professional KRAs

• Create, Manage, and maintain develop, staging and Pre-prod environment.
• Work on Public Cloud hosting environment.
• Involve in Design & Documentation of the Setup
• Create VM\'s in VMWARE and Cloud data centre.
• Create deployment scripts and deploy the OS Image
• Ensure timely backup for VMware Noida infrastructure.
• Maintenance support for Infrastructure including Windows Patching upgrading and security measurement
• Communicate and co-ordinate with various stakeholders from different geo locations.
• Track the project activities and Ensure the implementation in stipulated timeline
• Communicate and co-ordinate with various teams for implementation
• Maintain the health status of all infrastructure components (VMWARE & Cloud) required to support the virtual platform.
• Build and upgrade Virtual infrastructure components when required
• Security and patch management of the VMware components and related support tools
• Provide day to day technical backup and support for the platform teams for the Virtual machines (Including VMWARE Noida and TierPoint)
• Proactively manage the VM platform capacity ensuring each farm has sufficient CPU, memory, and disk space to host the current and future needs to support project requirements.
• Installation and configuration of Windows Operating system and hardware to corporate standards (VMWARE and)
• Monitoring and reporting of the server environment and Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Perform server patching, data backups and recovery operations.
• Monitor issues and provide management reports on incidents and problem management
• Provide support based on the shifts and out of hours based on an on-call rotational.
• Ensure all activities are compliant with security and regulatory requirements
• Work alongside the platform teams to provide cost effective virtualization solutions and encourage best practices to prevent over allocation and wastage due to lack of usage.
• Able to translate business requirements into capabilities that can be delivered with the Virtualization Cloud Management solution and show how this can provide business benefit and value Maintain current and in- depth knowledge of the entire Virtualization product line Ability to navigate stakeholder community in customer to gain consensus to a Virtualization cloud management strategy Ability to navigate and orchestrate the Virtualization technical, commercial and product management communities
