Position: COE - DevOps Engineer


Education o Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field


Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a DevOps role, preferably with exposure to DevOps practices and tools. In the automotive industry.


Position Summary:


IT Tools support for Pune, India Engineering organization (e.g., Polarion, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Bamboo, Jfrog Artifactory)

• Support deployment of aPriori solution into the Pune, India facility. Installation of CAD Plugins (e.g. NX, Creo, Catia V5)
• Infrastructure Provisioning and Management: Setting up and maintaining the necessary infrastructure to support development and operational activities.
• Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to automate the software release process.
• Tool Management: Overseeing various DevOps tools' selection, implementation, and maintenance.
• Configuration Management: Ensuring all systems are configured correctly and consistently.
• Monitoring and Logging: Establishing systems to monitor application performance and maintain logs for troubleshooting.
• Security and Compliance: Enforcing security measures and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Cloud-Native Technologies: Utilizing microservices, APIs, and other cloud-native technologies to enhance scalability and flexibility.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Managing infrastructure through code for efficient provisioning and operation.
• Automation, Containerization, and Orchestration: Streamlining processes through automation and managing containerized applications.
• Security Integration: Incorporating security practices early in the development lifecycle (Shift-Left Security).
• Monitoring and Observability: Implementing tools and practices for real-time monitoring and observability of systems.
• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE): Ensuring the reliability and availability of services through proactive engineering practices.
• Agile and DevOps Alignment: Working within Agile frameworks and aligning with DevOps principles for continuous improvement.
• Continuous Testing and Monitoring: Conducting ongoing testing and monitoring to maintain high-quality standards.
• Collaboration and Communication: Facilitating effective communication and collaboration within and across teams.
• Continuous Learning and Improvement: Keeping current with the latest technologies and practices for ongoing professional development.
• Data Management: Handling data migration, creation, movement, and removal.
• Server and Tools Management: Performing server maintenance, managing backups, and ensuring tool security.
• Customer Support: Providing technical support globally and ensuring customer satisfaction with improved Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Performance Tuning: Optimizing the performance of servers, applications, and tools.
• Ticketing and Documentation: Monitoring ticket queues, updating knowledge bases, and creating reports.


Experience (Required)

• Technical Skills: o Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and the software development lifecycle. o Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bamboo) and version control systems (e.g., Git). o Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation frameworks. o Understanding cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Systems Knowledge: Experience with system administration, including server maintenance, networking, and security protocols.
