Job Title : IT Security Specialist - Remote

About Us : Inventel is a US-based company specializing in innovative consumer products. We are seeking a skilled IT Security Specialist to join our team remotely from India. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and make a significant impact on our company's cybersecurity infrastructure.

: We are looking for a detail-oriented IT Security Specialist with expertise in VPNs, remote tracking, Google technologies, and network security. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our company's cybersecurity measures, ensuring secure remote work environments, and staying up-to-date with the latest security trends and threats.

Responsibilities :

• Implement and manage VPN solutions for secure remote access
• Monitor and analyze network traffic for potential security threats
• Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
• Manage Google Workspace security settings and configurations
• Train employees on best practices for remote work security
• Respond to and mitigate security incidents
• Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies
• Implement network segmentation and establish a demilitarized zone (DMZ)
• Set up and manage firewalls and intrusion detection systems
• Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
• Enable and manage two-step verification for all users in Google Workspace
• Implement zero trust authentication methods
• Configure and monitor prebuilt security rules for phishing detection, spam identification, and suspicious login tracking
• Regularly audit file-sharing settings and user permissions
• Implement and manage secure Wi-Fi connections for remote workers
• Enforce strong password policies and two-factor authentication

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security roles
• Strong knowledge of VPN technologies and implementation
• Familiarity with remote work tracking and monitoring tools
• Expertise in Google Workspace administration and security
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are preferred
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Linux-, Windows-, and UNIX-based systems
• Knowledge of programming languages such as C++, PHP, Java
• Understanding of ethical hacking techniques and threat modeling
• Strong ethics and an unshakable moral compass

• Proficiency in remote collaboration tools
• Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently

Communication and Collaboration Skills:

• Proficiency in remote collaboration tools (Zoom, Google Drive).
• Ability to participate effectively in virtual meetings.
• Comfortable with occasional video check-ins to maintain team engagement.
• Strong time management skills to balance multiple projects efficiently.

Work Hours :

• This position requires working US office hours of 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST, which translates to 7:00 PM - 4:00 AM IST. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work these hours consistently.

Additional Information :

• This is a full-time, remote position. Outside freelance work is not permitted during the course of employment with InvenTel.

Compensation:

• Competitive salary range based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?70,000.00 per month
