The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.




Position Description:


In this role, you will work as an Operation Support Specialist in the new Global S4 HANA team being created within the strategic ERP Transformation Organization. You will have the opportunity to work in an international company with a rich history, featuring numerous divisions and subsidiaries around the world. Join us on an exciting journey to optimize and grow the company through the implementation of the SAP S/4 HANA application in a private cloud environment. Collaborating with colleagues from different regions, you will lead meetings and take responsibility for the SAP RTP (Request to Pay) workstream.




Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:


• RTP/R2P stream
• Demonstrable knowledge of S/4 HANA processes in Requisition to Pay
• Experience in MM (Material Management) implementation and customizing
• Familiarity with key integration areas such as procurement, finance, supply chain, and warehouse management
• Proficiency in S4 Conversion, workflow, interfaces, and EDI


Responsibilities:


• Collaborate with the operations team to support break/fix activities
• Work in an international team, utilizing collaboration tools to operate as one cohesive operations team
• Conduct working sessions with business users to clarify requirements and troubleshoot issues
• Research and apply OSS notes as necessary to resolve issues
• Utilize Corning's ITSM related applications like ServiceNow, Teams, Sharepoint, and SAP ChaRM
• Participate in an on-call rotation to support the team/organization and meet SLA commitments defined by IT


Education & Experience:


• 3+ years of experience working with SAP ECC 6.0 and SAP S/4
• Proficiency in business analysis, business knowledge, architecture knowledge, and technical solution design
• Excellent communication and written skills for RICEF creation and design document creation
• In-depth knowledge of SAP best practices


Required Skills:


• Requisition to Pay (RTP)
• Demonstrable knowledge of S/4 HANA processes for Request to Pay
• Procurement: Configuration experience in S/4 Hana for requisitioning and quotations; best practices for PO/invoice matching and goods receipts
• Invoice Processing: Configuration experience in S/4 Hana for downpayments, recurring payments, managing credit notes; payment program configuration experience
• Vendor Master Data: Best practices for vendor master data management/standardization and cleanse; ability to demo vendor master/customer master offsetting in S/4 Hana


Desired Skills:


• Experience in other SAP modules
• Development experience (ABAP is a strong plus)
• Fiori, Adobe Forms, and Workflow experience
• Proficiency in debugging complex programs
• ServiceNow experience
