The third principle is to excel at the basics by providing a high performing, robust, and resilient IT environment for the organization.WBG Finance (ITSFI) is responsible for providing high quality, streamlined information and technology solutions for the World Bank's Financial services, which include Corporate Finance, Risk Management, Controls, Treasury, Loans, Accounting, and Concessional finance (handling donor contributions from inception to the point of final disbursement, including IDA, Financial Intermediary Funds and Trust Funds). ITSFI is additionally responsible for building its IT services using a shared platform that provides scale, leverage, reliability, and control while at the same time improving responsiveness to emerging business needs. The ITSFI team is accountable for the implementation of the ITS Strategy supporting WBG core finance business processes.As a unit within the ITSFI department, ITSFT is responsible for providing core accounting solutions for the World Bank Group staff that are in around 185 countries across the world. The major areas include applications in the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and Asset accounting business processes to support the operations of World Bank Group Finance & Accounting, Treasury and Development Finance Vice presidencies and administration of the SAP ERP & PI platforms that supports the above business functions and applications.Roles & Responsibilities

• Independent contributor IT professional providing advanced expertise to assure the effective performance of one or more elements of the organization's technical infrastructure.

• Builds new elements of the infrastructure within their domain, to meet requested needs or needs they may have identified, and in consideration of the current and future architecture. Adds new elements to a blueprint, documents them effectively, and directs the testing and implementation of changes.

• Manages the product lifecycle for one or more elements of the infrastructure to assure operational availability; designs and specifies changes for implementation.

• Creates technical blueprints, translating logical architecture into physical specifications. Directs and oversees the implementation effort.

• Successfully contributes to large and/or complex projects, processes or services that have impact across multiple areas of the organization, such as across multiple functions, processes, services, etc.

• Serves as a liaison to software vendors. Manages day to day relationship with vendors supporting their elements of the infrastructure including negotiating acquisitions within the scope of an existing service agreement or contract.

• Provides technical guidance and mentorship to team members and directions to contractors in their area of expertise.

• Contributes subject matter expertise and serves as a technical resource for other professionals in their field.

• When provided with an objective to improve performance in their area(s) of technology, develops and implements action plans needed to effect the change.

• Assesses demand for their service or technology area and develops plans to meet future capacity needs and makes recommendations to the manager.

• Troubleshoots applications problems and support the application teams in troubleshooting of problems in SAP Java or ABAP development and production systems.

• Support SAP Process Integration messaging infrastructure.

• Daily monitoring of SAP System Performance and investigation of the System Log for unusual activities/errors/warnings

• Participates in the on-call rotation in support of development and production systems.

• Supports SAP Netweaver Enterprise Portal Systems Administration, including systems installation, configuration, security, and troubleshooting.

• Performs application of Support Packages as agreed to by the organization's business stakeholders.

• Performs SAP xe2x80x9cclient copiesxe2x80x9d and/or xe2x80x9csystem copies xe2x80x9cas agreed to by the organization's business stakeholders.

• Performs SAP kernel and other binaries updates.

• Maintains documentation of systems configuration and operational processes and follows ITIL processes for incident management, change management and problem management.

Selection Criteria

• Master's degree with 5 years relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 7 years relevant experience.

Preferred Education/Experience:

• Role Specific Experience: min 5 years relevant experience as an SAP Basis Netweaver Administrator in managing SAP Production systems.

• Experience in developing or supporting SAP systems, understanding of SAP database, network, and system performance configuration and tuning techniques.

• Experience in day-to-day support of SAP Basis environments is required. Working knowledge of database and operating systems fundamentals is required.

• Experience working on at least one full lifecycle SAP project is required.

• Experience with SAP on Virtualized Infrastructure is preferred.

• Experience with SAP HANA database is preferred.

• Working knowledge of SAP systems architecture standards and industry directions is required.

• Ability to monitor and tune the SAP database, knowledge of SQL, including programming and ways to optimize SQL code is a plus.

• Familiar with hardware and software companies and products that support or interface with SAP environments is required.

• Proficiency with SAP ERP or S4/HANA administration in Unix environment is required.

• Good understanding of the SAP Enterprise Portal and SAP web technology is required.

• Relevant experience in use of ITIL processes

• Relevant experience for SOX control compliance of critical financial systems

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills

• Willingness to work on flexible working hours including weekends.

• SAP Netweaver system administration certification is a plus.

• Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager or Cloud ALM is a plus.
