The role



Reporting to the Director of Network Services, this role will be key to developing, delivering, and supporting enterprise network solutions, (both internal and external) that will enable Hitachi Vantara to be a leader in the delivery of solutions for Cloud, Internet of Things (IoT) and Social Innovation. The Hitachi Vantara Network team is rethinking everything with an emphasis on leveraging software defined solutions in the LAN, WAN, and Data Center, driving automation throughout the network service stack and increasing efficiency and reliability of delivered services.


What you'll bring


• Design and implement network solutions using Cisco routers and switches, Palo Alto/Fortinet/FTD firewalls, Juniper Mist Wireless, SDWAN, Cisco, EsXi, Cisco ISE technologies.
• Proficient and hands-on in Data Center Architecture, especially in technologies like Cisco ACI, NDFC, VXLAN, Leaf & Spine.
• Excellent understanding of routing protocols like BGP, OSPF etc.
• Should have good understanding of SDN technologies.
• Network & Security knowledge and experience in any of the Cloud providers like Azure, AWS or GCP.
• Understanding of network monitoring tools.
• Should be able to translate business need into technical solution with cost benefit analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable architecture for large-scale enterprise networks.
• Manage project delivery from planning to execution, ensuring timely completion within budget.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues related to routing, switching, and Firewall.
• Find and recommend new and innovative products, services, and solutions.
• Drive innovation and automation across the network and enable other teams to do the same.


Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field
• Minimum 7 plus years hands-on experience in Networking technologies.
• Must have experience with network connectivity within a Data Center environment.
• CCNA/CCNP certification required; CCIE (R&S/Data Center) preferred.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including routing protocols and switching technologies.
• Proven track record in managing large-scale programs with multiple stakeholders.
