Job Title: IT Hardware Support Staff
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled IT Hardware Support Staff member to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for all hardware components within the organization. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer systems, servers, networking devices, and other IT hardware to ensure optimal performance and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Hardware Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on computers, printers, servers, networking equipment, and other hardware.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware issues, including those related to desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other IT devices.
• Installation: Set up and install new hardware, including computers, printers, networking devices, and other peripherals.
• Configuration: Assist in configuring and deploying IT hardware according to company standards and requirements.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of hardware assets, track hardware usage, and assist in the procurement of new equipment.
• User Support: Provide technical support to staff, addressing hardware-related issues, and ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of all hardware maintenance, repairs, and configurations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to support ongoing projects and initiatives, including network upgrades and system rollouts.
• Compliance: Ensure all hardware components comply with industry standards, security policies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
• Education: Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in IT hardware support or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with various hardware components, including desktops, laptops, servers, and networking devices.
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and hardware drivers.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure and peripheral devices.
