What you will do ?Enterprise Data & Analytics thrives on strong relationships with our business partners and working diligently to address their needs which support TJX growth and operational stability. We have modernized our technology stack to focus on the cloud and top tier tools.We are looking for someone who embraces the use of technology to build, manage, and govern data.As an IT Engineering Manager at TJX, you will oversee a team that partners with the analytics product management team and delivers products for key business domains, including Stores & Selling, Corporate Finance, Merchandising, and Product Safety teams.Key Responsibilities:

• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work up and down within the organization to influence others and achieve results
• Partner with key stakeholders & IT leaders across all levels to drive solutions to meet business needs
• Line Manager a team of 11 direct report Data and Analytics Engineers
• Accountable for the technical delivery of technical Features to achieve business outcomes
• Participates in solution approaches / designs and operating principles
• Serves as a liaison with other IT partners for technical matters relating to their owned products (inc. security related aspects)
• Initial point of escalation for team to remove blockers
• Special projects as assigned
• Model lean-agile leadership behaviours

• Foster an Engineering Mindset
• Continually focus on eliminating waste and delays
• Eliminate demotivating policies and procedures
• Accountable for developing Engineering staff

What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications):

• Experience: 8-10 years in Data and Analytics engineering, with at least 3 years in people management, including line management.
• Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent in engineering, or equivalent training/technical work experience.
• Technology:
• Tools: Experience with source code control (GitHub) and continuous integration tools (Azure DevOps).
• Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to solve complex technical problems.
• Project Management: Proven track record of meeting business objectives and project goals, with the ability to hold team members accountable. Good Communication skills and teamwork focus mindset
• DevOps Mindset: Ability to enable a DevOps approach for both modernized and legacy systems. Experience in Data Engineering and DevOps knowledge
• Mentorship: Experience in managing and mentoring junior to mid-level engineers.
• Proficiency with cloud computing platforms (preferably Azure)
• Snowflake
• Azure Data Lake Storage
• Databricks
• Talend (Implementing or exposure to large scale data Engineering Projects)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior retail analytics experience
• Experience with a matrixed management organization
• Strong knowledge of the solution delivery lifecycle including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, technologies/platforms, agile development methodologies, use of product team structures, and/or other applicable methodologies.
• Experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies & public cloud platform is strongly desired (i.e. Workday, FiveTran, etc.)
• Experience with source control management (e.g. Git) and Continuous Integration Tools (e.g. Jenkins)
• SAFe certification
