Description The IT Development Engineer contributes to the development of applications / products in line with the technology roadmap and standards. The IT Development Engineer conveys a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in IT Development and delivers the development of programme logic for new applications/products or analysis and modification of logic in existing applications (activities may also include elements of technical testing). Typically reports to the IT Development Manager.(JOB ID - 207740) #_VOIS Job Responsibility Interpret business requirements and translate them into deployable solution Provide estimates for the user stories assigned and complete the development within timelines Prepare LLD and document the implemented solution Adhere to coding standards and best practices laid out by Technical Implementation Standards Unit testing the output of their own work and work along with QA team to fix defects Works in close cooperation with Automation design and Technical Architect Provides estimates for the user stories Documents the implemented solution Skills Must Have Skills: 5-7 Years of experience in development and coding understanding of Cloud Formation Template, Usage of Cloud Development Kit on AWS Define New services using Lamba & Cloud functions Basic overview of Nodejs and Python to use on Lambda console 3-4 Years of experience in coding and Integrations with Cloud & Platform Should have hands on foundational concepts such as: Variables & Data Types, Data Structure, Exception Handling, File Handling Proven working experience in implementing large distributed & scalable solutions Familiar with basic frontend development products e.g. CSS, JavaScript, UI Design concepts Good working experience in implementation and test of Open API\'s - REST APIs and Design Patterns Proven problem solving and innovation abilities Excellent communication skills (in an international distributed team) and capacity to learn and work independently Good to Have Skills: Scripting skills - Shell, Perl and Python Familiar with development tools: Eclipse, GIT, JIRA, Experience in working in multi-location international teams Exposure to work in DevOps or Agile (Scrum) delivery teams Good understanding of tools like CI CD tools, Automation tools like Ansible Not a perfect fit Worried that you don\'t meet all the desired criteria exactly At Vodafone we are passionate about Inclusion for All and creating a workplace where everyone can thrive, whatever their personal or professional background.
