The Continuity Services Executive is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure the organization's resilience in the face of disruptions. This role involves risk assessment, strategy design, testing, and coordination during incidents to minimize downtime and financial impact. Work from the customer location to ensure successful service delivery as per continuity services deliverables. Includes IT continuity planning and exercise oversight, issue resolution, Report preparation and related work. As part of larger DXC continuity services team, contribute to and leverage from best practices and standards.
Location
The primary customer location is Gurugram, Haryana. The DR location of the customer is Hyderabad, Telangana. The resource should be a resident of Hyderabad. Daily attendance to work is a must.
Responsibilities
:
Understands a broad spectrum of IT technology in order to deliver customer requirements.
Works with minimal direction from the technical lead and with customer nominated representatives to accomplish assigned tasks.
Creating Disaster Recovery Plan of Action, complete planning for DR drill and prepare Test Reports as per defined format and under directions of team lead.
Conducts Over Night drills on Friday/Saturday and Sundays
Participates as part of a team and maintains good relationships with team members and customers. Understands DXC strategy and the role that the individual plays.
Uses tools and reuses information for the benefit of projects, and of professional development.
Education and Experience Required
:
A Bachelor's degree
Minimum of 8 years of IT operations experience in Project Management / Implementation and IT Operations Basic understanding of user access, web, applications and Databases functioning Understanding of Disaster Recovery and its processes Understanding of consequences of non-availability of applications for a few hours
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Hands on experience on the operating systems Windows, Unix.
Good understanding of the Database Management systems; Oracle and SQL.
Able to take decisions during critical situations.
Has ability to perform/drive resolution of problems.
Able to communicate broad and specific concepts with customer, team and to peers.
Able to produce documentation for use by team and customer.
Readiness to learn new technologies
Good communication skills (oral & written)
