About the department
The position is based in the XAAS (Anything as a service) product area in Cloud and Corporate Infrastructure (C&CI) department, part of Global IT Operations (GITO) - an area with 400+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our Infrastructure, Operations, Global Service Desk, and Digital Workplace Services.
The Cloud and Corporate Infrastructure is a department consisting of 100+ people in 12 teams with highly skilled and dedicated employees worldwide. We have a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, and we work in a truly global setup with colleagues located all over the world. In C&CI we are globally responsible for all Novo Nordisk Cloud (Private and Public), and Corporate Infrastructure (Network and Connectivity).

The Position
This position is for IT Architect, primarily will be responsible for managing the Linux plat-form. This includes defining platform requirements, providing operational oversight, and ensuring the platform meets the needs of various stakeholders throughout the company.
Your will be responsible for:

  • Defining the general & Security requirements for operating Linux servers. You will create the processes and procedures to support operation of the Linux platform and ensure compliance with the Linux platform requirements.
  • Evaluating and recommending technologies to support the operation of the Linux platform. You will provide technical guidance to system administrators and participate in status meetings to understand upcoming changes effecting Linux services. You will actively participate in architectural decisions effecting Linux services.
  • Performing lifecycle planning for key Linux distributions used within the company. You will provide input on risk assessments and participate in infrastructure qualification & Audit activities. You will participate in architectural decisions effecting Linux services and also ensure incidents related to Linux services are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Vendor management- Participate in the creation of service packages for service agreements with vendors. You will maintain a strong relationship with service providers, service managers and other key support personnel.
  • Stakeholder management- You will be working with stakeholders who utilize Linux services and will be providing architectural recommendations within the scope of the Linux platform for new and existing systems. You will act as subject matter expert on all technical issues/questions. You will be maintaining a feedback loop with users to improve the platform.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in MSC, MBA, or Graduate degree, BA or similar graduate degree in relevant field (Software Engineering, Economics, Computer Science, Business Administration).
  • Overall 8+ years of system management experience and within GxP regulated in-dustry.
  • 5+ years' Experience in Linux System Administration working in the pharmaceuti-cal industry or other regulated field. (Redhat/Centos experience preferred). Experienced in maintaining Linux servers in both public and private cloud environments, and both physical and virtual environments.
  • 2+years of work experience in cloud platform AWS/Azure is a must. Experience with Azure Image Builder service is preferred.
  • Experience working with a configuration automation tool (e.g., puppet, chef, an-sible).
  • Technical certifications in ITIL (ITIL foundation / practitioner), AWS, Azure and RHEL Linux is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and experience working in an Agile environment is preferred.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate with external parties (vendors), stakeholders, user community.
  • Strong analytical skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translating them into actionable outcomes.
  • Good analytical skills and should be able to grasp existing systems and propose solutions accordingly.
  • Excellent writing, verbal, presentation, communication, and consensus building skills. You have high cultural sensitivity and ability to work across cultures. Above all you have passion for excellence with a concise, precise, and effective approach to problem solving and decision making.
