Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled IT Analyst Applications (BI - Developer) to join our India GCC - GCIO BI Services team.In search of a Data Visualization Engineer in IT field who will have the opportunity to champion our Caterpillar IT Division. The incumbent will be member of a PROJECT / SCRUM Team to help maximize / optimize the value of the product. They will engage with business partners, internal and support teams to provide data visualization development services for a wide variety of projects and business needs.The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore & Chennai -IndiaWhat you will doJob Roles and Responsibilities

• Formulate & Implement BI COE standards and best practices for report development for all the BI Tools (Power BI, Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Cognos and Bobj)
• Partner closely with Data Scientists in assessing, developing, and implementing new predictive models and advanced analytical solutions.
• Design and develop BI reports by implementing Governance methodology to improve report load/extract times and achieve maximum performance.
• Provide front line support to customers when needed as part of helping them in improving report performance.
• Refine and automate processes, track issues, and document changes.
• Help customers in identifying the right type of BI tool based on their business needs.
• Develop and help customers with Advanced Analytics data models.

What you will have

• seeking a Data Visualization Engineer with Overall 7+ years of experience in IT field

• 3+ years of experience in Report design and development along with supporting highly complex BI applications of strategic or functional importance including integration with data sources.
• Developing highly automated data refresh processes; best-in-class data visualizations, dashboards, and reports that communicate critical insights to drive decision making.
• 3+ years of experience in relational database design, data modelling, and structured query language (SQL)
• Experience in multiple business processes or organizations and experience in multiple IT disciplines is also beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, teamwork, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and influential skills with high degree of customer focus
• Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, conceptualization and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as being a collaborative team member.
• Able to manage own duties including setting priorities.
• Having good knowledge of Caterpillar policies, standards, and procedures, with broad understanding of Caterpillar\'s organization is a plus.

Top Candidates will have:

• Experience in Snowflake, ETL, AWS, and Azure cloud services
• Exposure to various tools like Jira, Azure DevOps will be a plus.
• Computer science educational background and strong experience in IT-related field

• Expert in BI Report & Dashboard development in Power BI and Tableau.
• Knowledge in multiple BI tools.

Additional Info :

• The primary locations for this role: Chennai / Bangalore.
• Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.
• Work Timings : 1:00PM to 10:00PM IST (Approx.)

• Helps to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches and obtain decision on resolution.
• Uses fact-finding techniques and diagnostic tools to identify problems.

Application Design, Architecture: Knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies, tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
Level Extensive Experience:

• Facilitates in application design reviews and walkthroughs.
• Creates and evaluates technical alternatives for complex applications.
• Interprets application services such as API; integrates them with technical design.
• Develops various, distinct and multiple technical application designs.
• Prepares technical design documents and blueprints for applications.
• Explores and evaluates application design considerations for multiple technologies.
