This engineer will support and lead the team to create maintain, and follow best practices, it controls and standards. Key areas of accountability include liaisoning with different support teams and making sure the SLA\'s for ticket resolution are met and thereby keeping the A2A platform and infrastructure up and running for 24x7 without any issues, providing product expertise and also assist as an SME in maintaining technology roadmaps.Responsibilities:

  • Understand and approve all system changes.
  • Responsible for designing with and implementing Datapower solutions (or equivalent) taking into consideration security, performance engineering, operational costs, and systems management.
  • Candidate must be able to work within a team to develop and integrate solutions to solve business requirements.
  • Support the A2A Datapower environment from the platform and infrastructure point of view.
  • Communicate and promote adoption of practices and standards within support teams.
  • Act as a Liaison to other Caterpillar teams to drive resolution of support issues.
  • Participate in the identification and analysis of enterprise business drivers and requirements that drive the future state architecture.
  • Collaborate with partners on best practice implementations that are mutually beneficial.
  • Execute projects associated with improving the product, such as, upgrades, maintenance releases, migrations, etc.
  • Determine if requirements are actionable for integrations team.
Required Skillsets:
  • Should have 8+ years of relevant experience in Integrations technologies/areas.
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and developing IBM DataPower applications.
  • 2+ years of DataPower admin experience including installation of products, upgrades and certificate installations and renewals.
  • Strong understanding and work experience in Multi-Protocol Gateway, Webservice proxy, Firewall and Load balancer is a plus.
  • Good experience in XML, XSLT, JSON, XML Schema and XPATH is a plus.
  • Good exposure to security concepts including Authentication, Authorization, PKI and SSL is a plus.
  • Experience in IIB or IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise) is a huge plus.
  • Experience in Denodo or IBM MQ is a plus.
  • Technical knowledge of software, servers, storage, network (firewalls), risk and cloud domains
  • Proven track record acting as an SME on projects
  • Understanding of agile principles and IT project management a nice to have.
  • Existing Caterpillar experience is a HUGE plus.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, presentation, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and conceptualization skills.
