The IT Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT systems and infrastructure, including networks, servers, and end-user devices. This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security measures, and providing support to ensure smooth and secure IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Network Administration:
• Monitor and maintain network performance, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Configure and manage network devices and ensure network security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues.
• Server and System Management:
• Administer and maintain servers, including installation, configuration, and updates.
• Perform regular backups and ensure data integrity and security.
• Monitor system performance and optimize server resources.
• User Support:
• Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Assist with the setup and configuration of new user accounts and devices.
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
• Monitor for and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.
• Prepare regular reports on IT system performance and incident resolution.
• Document and track IT assets and inventory.
• Project Management:
• Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and address IT needs.
Qualifications:
• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience:
• Proven experience as an IT Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network and server administration.
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Familiarity with IT security practices and tools.
• Skills:
• Proficient in operating systems (Windows, Linux) and server management.
• Knowledge of networking protocols and hardware (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
