You will be working as IS Process Specialist for Change Control and will be part of IS Services Business Area for IS Service & Performance Excellence division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to IS Department Manager Change Control and will be responsible for establish and maintain continuous governance over change records owned and processed across all IS to ensure that global change process is followed. Supervising and coordinating internal and external resources for the effective delivery and operational performance of the services in scope, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance, across a multi-cultural team. Accountable for conducting onboarding sessions for new services and delivering process related ad-hoc trainings to motivate, guide and supporting IS Service Owners, Managers and other stakeholders in accordance to the agreed Change Process Policy and ABB standards in Core IS.

Your responsibilities

  • Identifying, initiating and coordinating end-end process improvements of the change management process and ITSM tool in GBS IS. Governing proper reporting tool functionality and acts whenever amendment is required
  • Acting as a single point of contact for service operations and as the advocate of global change control process. Ensuring a seamless delivery of single and cross-domain (infrastructure and application) changes to minimize any possible risks and service disruption
  • Leading service improvement (SIP) Meetings scheduled weekly with vendors. Driving operations related governance meetings (CAB/Change advisory board), including the preparation of the meeting agenda. Supporting CAB meetings organized by applicational teams and acting as advisory body
  • Administrating and managing a change requests backlog and initiating adequate reactions in case of disturbing trends; actively working towards backlog reduction wherever possible. Ensuring that change requests are assessed following global change control process
  • Maintaining continuous governance over change requests owned and processed across all suppliers. Guiding, supporting and motivating IS service and product owners to implement and follow the established guidelines for changes within GBS IS
  • Leading failed change exemption process for the suppliers with SLM team coordination. Reviewing, assessing and verifying cross-domain change requests submitted by the suppliers. Preparing CAB meeting agenda, chairing the meeting and sending meetings minutes
  • Cooperating, coordinating and closely monitoring escalated cases to meet business requirement. Participating and responsiveness in any communication received either in the personal or shared mailbox or any other method of communication, regarding Change Management Operations
  • Managing the shared mailbox (cleanup of unnecessary messages, appropriate categorization). Scheduling ad-hoc meetings whenever needed, e.g. in order to resolve stalemate situations

Your background

  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any related technical field
  • Minimum 8+ years working experience in IT area with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Service Management area \xe2\x80\x93 Change, Release, Incident in large enterprise within global environment
  • Excellent understanding of ITIL and Service Integration and Management (SIAM) concepts
  • Knowledge for infrastructure and application services is a must. Broad knowledge about service management tools and platforms
  • Ability to articulate complex ideas and solutions in easy to understand terms
  • Excellent analytical skills and a deep understanding of the overall context of business processes and IS technologies
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills using standards methodologies. Outstanding verbal and communication skills, excellent facilitation, coaching and mediation skills
