Key Responsibilities
• Admission Process Billing:
• Prepare and issue accurate estimates and initial billing details to patients or their attendants during the admission process.
• Verify patient details, insurance information, and applicable packages or discounts before generating bills.
• Discharge Process Billing:
• Compile and finalize all charges incurred during the patient's stay, including room charges, procedures, medications, and other services.
• Coordinate with clinical, pharmacy, and diagnostic departments to ensure all services are accurately billed.
• Address patient or attendant queries regarding the final bill before discharge.
• Insurance and TPA Coordination:
• Collaborate with insurance companies and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to verify approvals for cashless or insured patients.
• Ensure timely submission of required documents for claims processing.
• Payment Handling and Reconciliation:
• Collect payments from patients or attendants, issue receipts, and ensure proper reconciliation of cash, card, or digital transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions as per hospital policies.
• Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure adherence to hospital billing policies, government regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly billing reports to the management as required.
