JOB DESCRIPTION: Intellectual Property Paralegal (Hybrid) The Opportunity You will work closely with Commvaults legal team as well as our in-house stakeholders and outside counsel. Youll perform a variety of wide-ranging assignments. What youll do
Assisting in-house attorneys with administrative patent and trademark prosecution tasks to protect Commvaults products and services worldwide
Engaging with inventors, getting signatures, etc.
Maintaining department records including interacting with our patent docketing and IP management system
Assisting with vendors and invoice processing
Supporting individual attorney schedules
Providing general support for IP litigation, open source licensing, special projects, and other departmental matters
Who you are You should have a demonstrated track record of personal achievement and possess the following qualifications:
Any graduate.
At least 5-10 years prior IP experience - corporate or law firm
Familiarity with USPTO patent practice preferred
Flexibility to work on US Eastern Time at least 4 hours per day
Fluent written and spoken English
Superior office computing skills including advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365/Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Pro
Prior experience with patent docketing or Anaqua software a plus
Willingness to learn new skills
Strong attention to accuracy and detail in all aspects of responsibilities, including in regard to spelling, names, numerical identifiers, and action item deadlines
Exceptional professionalism, communication, personal integrity, and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to accept diverse challenges in a fast-paced high-tech environment
Proactive and self-sufficient practice management skills, including strong productivity combined with high-quality output
