Preferred Location From Calicut Store - Mankavu & Mathottam Wagon Mart Job Title: Inventory Analyst : As an Inventory Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing the inventory levels and ensuring optimal stock levels for our retail supermarket. You will be responsible for analyzing data, forecasting demand, and developing strategies to improve inventory management processes. Your objective will be to balance product availability with cost control, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory. Responsibilities:
- Analyze sales data, historical trends, and market demand to forecast future demand for products.
- Develop and maintain accurate inventory models and replenishment plans for each product category.
- Monitor inventory levels, sales, and stock turnover ratios to identify potential issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to manage the replenishment process, ensuring timely deliveries and optimizing order quantities.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies between physical and system records.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and recommend appropriate actions, such as markdowns, promotions, or returns.
- Coordinate with various departments, such as purchasing, logistics, and sales, to ensure effective communication and alignment of inventory management strategies.
- Generate reports and provide insights to management regarding inventory performance, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Utilize inventory management software and tools to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new product introductions, and market dynamics to inform inventory planning decisions.
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Analyst or similar role in a retail or supermarket environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of retail operations, supply chain management, and forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with inventory optimization strategies and best practices.
