Position: Inventory Controller Work Experience: 2-3 years CTC- upto 2.4 LPA Key Job Responsibilities: 1.Inward Process Management:
Ensure timely and accurate receipt of incoming goods.
Verify the quantity and quality of received items against purchase orders.
Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve discrepancies or issues related to
incoming shipments.
Maintain accurate records of received goods in the inventory management system. 2. Outbound Process Management:
Efficiently manage the picking, packing, and shipping processes to meet customer orders.
Ensure accurate order fulfillment and proper packaging to prevent damage during
transportation.
Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Maintain records of outbound shipments and update the inventory system accordingly. 3. Physical Inventory Counts:
Plan and execute regular weekly and monthly physical inventory counts.
Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure accurate counting and reconciliation of physical
inventory.
Investigate discrepancies between physical counts and system records, and take corrective
actions.
Implement strategies to minimize discrepancies and improve inventory accuracy. 4. MIS Reporting:
Develop and maintain a system for generating relevant MIS reports on a regular basis.
Prepare reports related to inventory levels, inward and outward movement of goods, and
inventory aging.
Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
Present MIS reports to management in a clear and concise manner. 5. Process Improvement:
Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization within inbound, outbound, and
inventory management.
Implement best practices to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall warehouse performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and reduce operational
bottlenecks. 6. Team Coordination:
Supervise and lead the warehouse team responsible for inbound and outbound processes. -Provide guidance, training, and feedback to team members to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment. 8. Customer Satisfaction:
Monitor order fulfillment accuracy and on-time delivery to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Address customer inquiries and concerns related to orders, shipments, and inventory
availability. 9. Inventory Management:
Monitor inventory levels and make recommendations for replenishment or stock adjustments.
Implement inventory control measures to prevent stock outs and overstock situations.
Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to forecast inventory needs. 10. Handling of Inventory Management Software and mail communication.
Familiarity with inventory management software systems is crucial for tracking and managing stock levels, orders, and shipments. This includes skills in data entry, updating records, and generating reports. Understanding how to operate and troubleshoot barcode scanners and related equipment is essential for accurate tracking of items during both inbound and outbound processes.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook can aid in creating reports, managing documentation, and communicating effectively with team members and other departments.
Basic email etiquette and communication skills are important for coordinating with suppliers customers and other team members, especially when dealing with inbound and outbound queries or issues.
