The role involves ensuring that team members are well-prepared to maintain accurate stock records, improve operational efficiency, and comply with organizational policies and industry standards.Key Responsibilities

  • Training Development:
  • Develop and update training materials, manuals, and resources tailored for inventory clerks.
  • Create practical training modules for software systems, inventory handling, and reporting.
  • Training Delivery:
  • Conduct onboarding sessions for new inventory clerks, covering standard operating procedures, software usage, and safety protocols.
  • Facilitate workshops, one-on-one coaching, and group training sessions for current staff.
  • Assessment and Evaluation:
  • Monitor trainee performance through practical assessments, tests, and real-world application of skills.
  • Provide constructive feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Process Standardization:
  • Ensure adherence to organizational processes and industry best practices among trainees.
  • Assist in implementing and reinforcing process improvements and updated procedures.
  • System and Tools Training:
  • Train inventory clerks on inventory management systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms.
  • Ensure proficiency in software tools and understanding of reporting requirements.
  • Collaboration and Support:
  • Work closely with management to identify training needs and develop customized programs.
  • Serve as a point of contact for inventory clerks seeking guidance on processes and tools.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain records of training sessions, attendance, and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare and present reports on training effectiveness and outcomes.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Provide training on regulatory compliance and workplace safety protocols for inventory clerks.
  • Promote a culture of safety and accuracy in all inventory-related activities.
RequirementsRequirements:
  • Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; certification or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or training and development is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Proven experience as an inventory clerk with a thorough understanding of inventory management systems and processes.
  • Prior experience in training, coaching, or team leadership roles preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong command of MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
