Job Overview Role: INTL Semi and Raw Material Sr. Data Steward The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the Global Digital Transformation initiative at General Mills in capacity of an Sr. Data Steward This role will report into Associate Manager Data Steward, Global Data Governance Services team in India and functionally collaborate with stakeholders across the Enterprise teams. It is an Individual contributor role. This individual will develop and support the data policies, rules and standards for INTL Semi and Raw Material master data domains across the enterprise. The Master Data Steward has ownership and accountability for executing data governance processes and standards for INTL Semi and Raw Material domains and related process areas. Role Responsibilities . Lead the development of data standards, rules and quality metrics for respective master data domain i n partnership with the Data Governance Consultants, Quality Analysts, Master Data Domain teams, and business stakeholder groups . Identify, consolidate and resolve data quality issues to enable trusted data in partnership with business owners and Global Master Data teams . Provide recommendations and supporting documentation for new or proposed data standards, business rules and policy (in conjunction with) the Governance Council(s) . Act as primary point of contact International Semi and Raw Material Domains, directly interacting with stakeholders and / or other data stewards across all aspects of the organization when necessary . Monitor key KPI\'s to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the critical data within respective domain(s) . Support preparation for and facilitation of monthly Working and Governance Council meetings with cross-functional leadership. Drive decisions to actions. . Identify improvements and build justification for resource prioritization . Collaborate closely with large scope projects (e.g., IPT) that have direct dependency on data quality. . Understand data lineage and provide data flow consultation . Ensure Semi and Raw Material domain data are documented via Enterprise Catalogues and special controls data is properly secured Must - have technical skills and experience . Expertise in Material Master data processes and understanding the purpose of the data, including the impact of data changes or issues . Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change within their domain . Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . Experience and competence in leading, influencing, coaching and mentoring others . Self-starter and self-motivated requiring little support from others . Attention to detail with the ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies . Tenacity to find and resolve issues . Experience with Master Data Domains and SAP Good to have skills . Demonstrated knowledge of Data Governance strategies and processes . Experience with SAP, Information Steward, Winshuttle and/or other data governance solutions
