Intern: Infrastructure

PURPOSE:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be part of a cloud infrastructure team that focuses on providing and supporting solutions in the public cloud.

Participate in projects to migrate existing workloads to the cloud following established standards.

Support application teams in refactoring applications from legacy technologies to cloud native technologies.

Ensure that security and governance standards are maintained for workloads and overall environment.

Automate as much as possible.

Supports and executes integration, implementation and support of Cloud based Infrastructure, networking technologies, systems and services.

Installing and supporting advanced server-based infrastructure, containers supporting digital applications, and related traffic management.

Develop and support automation for management of Infrastructure

Identify innovative, cost-effective ways to provide enterprise infrastructure support.

Perform administrative functions related to monitoring, support, and project activities.

Prepare and communicate status, issues, and opportunities to the business.

Participate in on-call rotation and related activities.

Qualifications

SKILLS /QUALIFICATIONS:

4 years degree in Computer Information Systems or an equivalent combination of coursework

Exposure to supporting Container-based Technologies and Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, AKS

Knowledge of Virtualization technologies: KVM, RedHat Enterprise Virtualization, BHyve

Good understanding of public cloud and strong working knowledge of MS Azure

Strong experience in one or more configurations and desired state management solutions such as Ansible /AWX , Terraform , Harness

Strong working knowledge of Elastic , Kibana , ELK , Artifactory , Jfrog

CICD Experience knowledge of Jenkins, Git , Stash , Atlassian tool kit /JIRA administration

Scripting knowledge of Shell , Python , Perl

Knowledge of Performance Monitoring/Alerting: Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, ELK/EFK Stack, Dynatrace

Knowledge of logical infrastructure services such as DNS, DHCP, LDAP, SSH, etc.

Ability to work on-call, after hours, to troubleshoot advanced support calls

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
