Requisition ID39322BRBusiness UnitCORThis role provides an excellent opportunity to work on the cdmsmith.com Sitecore-based website and contribute to its ongoing maintenance, updates, and migration to Sitecore XM Cloud.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Website Maintenance: Assist in maintaining and supporting the cdmsmith.com Sitecore-based website to ensure optimal performance and deliver a world-class user experience.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications and Business Technology teams to implement updates, enhancements, and optimizations on the Sitecore platform.
  • Development Participation: Engage in Sitecore development tasks, including building components, templates, and layouts, as well as integrating C#/.NET customizations.
  • Learning and Application: Learn and apply Sitecore architecture, development processes, and best practices with guidance from senior developers.
  • Migration Contribution: Contribute to the migration of the existing site to Sitecore XM Cloud and develop skills in headless development (Next.js).
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Sitecore team and external consultants on design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of the website.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated on Sitecore features, updates, and related technology trends, emphasizing continuous learning.
  • Requirements Translation: Translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate with senior developers to implement effective solutions.
Job Requirements:
  • Technical Skills:
o
Strong understanding of C# and .NET, especially in the context of Sitecore development (Sitecore 9.3 and above).
o
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and some exposure to frameworks like Tailwind CSS and TypeScript.
o
Knowledge of Sitecore Helix architecture and basic CMS principles, such as content templates and workflows.
o
Willingness to learn modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Next.js and contribute to headless development.
o
Exposure to version control (Git) for code management.
o
Good knowledge of SQL Server for managing Sitecore databases and querying data.
o
Basic understanding of Solr-based search engines.
o
Desire to learn and work with Sitecore tools such as Sitecore PowerShell Extensions (SPE) and serialization tools (TDS or Unicorn).
o
Eagerness to pursue Sitecore XM Cloud and Next.js certifications (guidance will be provided).
Soft Skills:
o
Excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn.

Sitecore certification, preferably Sitecore 9.x or above. Certification in XM Cloud is a plus, with the expectation of completing it soon if not already certified.
Familiarity with Sitecore headless JSS development (React or Next.js) or similar headless CMS approaches.
Exposure to modern CSS frameworks like Tailwind CSS and experience with TypeScript/ES6.
Experience with Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA) or Sitecore JSS (JavaScript Services).
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Experience with ServiceNow, or Jira, or Azure DevOps for managing tasks in Scrum and understanding the PR approval process.
Basic understanding of Docker, containerization, or CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
Knowledge of Solr search or exposure to AI-based search solutions like COVEO or Sitecore search.
Basic understanding of GraphQL or REST APIs.
