ABOUT THIS JOBAt NielsenIQ, A Shared Service Center (SSC) Intercompany Associate is responsible for intercompany transactions among multiple entities and reconciling global intercompany balances, as well as being the conduit among all entities for intercompany transactions and IC Loans, under the umbrella of the GFC Intercompany COE ManagerRESPONSIBILITIESProcess all the Inter-company Contracts / allocations globally and to ensure that all the approved contracts are processed with efficiency and accuracy.Prepare IC Aging report and circulating to the Stakeholders globally.Adhered to the IC cut off dates as per the IC Calendar.Prepare the Intercompany Journals for New Loan / Additions/Repayment/Interest accruals and posting them into SAP.Perform the Consolidated Loan Reconciliation by matching the SAP balances / Loan Roster balances with IC Matchbook.Prepare Loan Roll Forward file and submit to treasury.Perform IC Matchbook Reconciliations and follow with the Business Units to clear the mismatches in the subsequent period.Initiate the Non-Netting payments with Operational controllers approvalInitiate Netting payments by coordinating with treasury.Ensure that there is no Out of Balance at the end of month.Maintain internal process documentation to reflect the most up-to-date ways of work using the most recent Nielsen toolset (Google, etc). Ensure standard operating procedures are operationalized and consistent in both content and format with expectations laid out by Global Financial Controlling.Maintain Intercompany accounting related internal controls globally; ensure robust account reconciliations and SOX compliance.Maintain thorough and current understanding of US GAAP. Keep abreast of emerging accounting and reporting standards. Support the implementation of new accounting pronouncements as required.Maintain an appropriate system configuration and IT environment to ensure effective and efficient execution of Intercompany accounting continuous finance processesWork on monthly system uploads (EPM) and reconciliations of Intercompany Matchbook at the global level. Perform majority of the processes from SAP (or local ERP) to EPM.Support external and internal audits with supporting documentation, archive retrieval, IC Contract walk through, and other audit requirements under the supervision of the GFC Intercompany COE ManagerAssist the GFC Intercompany COE Manager/Operational Controller/ and/or broader Finance & Accounting Services team for the region on any initiatives, projects or systems implementations.Work with GFC Intercompany COE Manager, Associate Operational Controller, Operational Controller and their teams on compliance and governance.Work with Business Finance (FP&A) and Revenue Controlling as well as internally with other Finance & Accounting colleagues on processes and systems.Link up with internal audit for internal control or audit purposes.Other transverse functions (facilities, Sourcing, HR, legal, etc.) A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUA successful Intercompany Associate will achieve a balanced coordination and seamless execution of global Intercompany and financial accounting related activities for his/her markets. S/he will have delivered on all process governance and controllership metrics.
