Role - Intellectual Property Consultant Location : Hyderabad Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as a Techno-Legal Resource. In this role, you will play a crucial part in bridging the gap between the new products and regulatory aspects, ensuring compliance, risk management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both technology and law, with the ability to analyse applicable regulatory and legal issues related to the products. Role & Responsibilities: Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research to analyse and interpret laws, regulations, and policies relevant to the product. Assess the legal implications of new and emerging technologies and provide proactive recommendations to ensure compliance. Contract Review and Drafting: Review, draft, and negotiate various technology-related contracts, including service agreements, and technology partnerships. Ensure that contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations and mitigate potential regulatory risks. Data Privacy and Security: Advise on data privacy and security issues, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection laws. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement privacy policies and procedures. Intellectual Property Management: Work with the Products team and identify inventions - ideate the possibility of patents on new Products - suggest applying for Patents. Conduct due diligence and file for IP protection for all eligible inventions, Manage and protect intellectual property rights related to technology, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights. Technology Compliance: Monitor and assess regulatory developments impacting technology and provide guidance on compliance requirements. Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance strategies. Litigation Support: Collaborate with external legal counsel in technology-related litigation matters. Provide support in gathering and analyzing evidence, preparing legal documentation, and representing the organization\'s interests. Training and Awareness: Conduct training sessions for internal teams on legal aspects of technology. Keep the organization informed about legal developments that may impact technology operations. Qualifications: An engineering graduate from a good tech school with a degree from an accredited law school Strong understanding of technology, including software development, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies. 5+ years of experience in a legal role with a focus on technology law. Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced degree or certification in technology law or a related field. Experience working in a technology-focused industry. Familiarity with international legal frameworks related to technology.
