Job Description

You will be part of the Process Engineering team.

This team runs on coffee and the challenge of figuring out how to produce and validate batteries, chargers and connectors at scale.

Our philosophy: Break. Believe. Build

Break stuff. Break assumptions. Break the thumb rule.
Believe in the team. Believe in the process. Believe through failures.
Build fast. Build passionately. Build to simplify.

What you will do:

Weve cracked rapid charging repeatably. The e^pack, e^pump and e^plug work together to deliver a 15 minute charge experience.

The next step is to manufacture these elements at scale.

As an Integration Engineer (Process) you will work to stitch various sub systems and processes together.

Stretching across electrical, mechanical, firmware and information systems, youll be responsible for ensuring that any system - be it a process, an equipment or the whole line - works in sync.

Responsibillities:

  • Understand: Know process requirements that need to be automated. Know the constraints and requirements of equipment that are needed. Know anything else needed to scale production.
  • Define: Define problem statements and boundaries of various systems. Define how they interact with each other. Architect how the various parts of the manufacturing line are structured and communicate with each other.
  • Execute: Work with the extended team from concept to production ramp up. Support on firmware, automation, and integration. Establish how processes and equipment are tested and validated.
The ideal candidate requires:
  • Experience across hardware, firmware, and software
  • Knowledge of challenges in taking hardware to production
  • Experience in building or designing lab, testing or manufacturing equipment
  • A natural tendency to ask why on every specification and really understand the context behind it
What matters less:
  • Years of experience
  • Formal qualification
What matters more:
  • Quality of work
  • Approach towards problem-solving
  • Dissatisfaction with mediocre work
  • Resilient attitude to bounce back after failing
