Summary:
This position entails a more farming role with focus on business development on the existing large and medium key accounts of the Company. The person will also need to focus on acquiring new clients within the Lifestyle sector. Candidates should be prepared for a dynamic and fast-paced sales environment.
Primary Responsibilities
• Research and identify medium-sized Lifestyle Companies within the designated territory
• Proactively engage in prospecting activities to build a robust pipeline for all Maersk products, with a primary emphasis on acquiring new business.
• Develop a deep understanding of the territory, including market dynamics, competitor landscape, and industry trends, to effectively tailor sales strategies and approaches.
• Utilize various channels and networking opportunities to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within the target companies.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure alignment of sales initiatives with overall business objectives and customer needs.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities, leads, and customer interactions in the CRM tool.
• Actively participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and other professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
• Overall 8+ years of experience with proven track record in sales for a minimum of 3yrs, with a focus on business development and generating revenue growth from acquisition of new Clients. Background in Logistics for a minimum of 5 years, with a comprehensive understanding of supply chain dynamics and logistics operations.
• Good communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high degree of initiative and drive.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
• Based in Bengaluru preferably or open to relocating to Bengaluru for the position.
