Insurance Underwriter
Job Description
As an Underwriter, you will play a critical role in assessing and evaluating insurance applications, determining coverage levels, and pricing policies appropriately. You will work closely with our clients, agents, and other stakeholders to make informed decisions that balance risk and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of the insurance industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate insurance applications of clients and assess the associated risks.
2. Analyse and interpret underwriting guidelines and policies of insurance companies
3. Determine appropriate coverage levels and pricing for insurance policies
4. Collaborate with insurance agents, brokers, and clients to gather necessary information.
5. Conduct risk assessments and guide clients accordingly
6. Suggest best options to client as per their requirement
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes.
8. Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters and team members
9. Foster strong relationships with clients and insurance partners.
