Key Responsibilities:
Inspection and Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive inspections of vessels, including hulls, machinery, electrical systems, and safety equipment.
Assess the condition of marine structures such as docks, piers, and offshore platforms.
Use specialized tools and equipment to measure and evaluate structural integrity, corrosion, and other potential issues.
Compliance and Regulation:
Interpret and apply relevant maritime regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Verify that vessels and marine facilities comply with safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
Provide guidance and recommendations to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data gathered during inspections, including photographs, measurements, and test results.
Prepare detailed reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations.
Communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Identify potential risks and hazards associated with maritime operations and infrastructure.
Recommend risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions to enhance safety and prevent accidents.
Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop risk management plans and contingency measures.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, including shipowners, insurance companies, and maritime authorities.
Respond promptly to client inquiries, requests, and concerns.
Provide expert guidance and advice to support client decision-making processes.
