Job Summary: The ITI Instrument Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of instrumentation and control systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, hands-on experience with instrumentation, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Installation and Commissioning: Install, calibrate, and commission a variety of instrumentation and control systems according to specifications and industry standards.
• Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of instruments and control systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and departments as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of instrument installations, maintenance activities, and repairs. Prepare and update technical documentation and reports.
• Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Upgrades and Improvements: Assist with upgrades and improvements to instrumentation systems to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Training: Train and mentor junior technicians or apprentices as required.
Qualifications:
• Education: ITI (Instrument Technician) certification in Instrumentation or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum [2-3] years of experience as an Instrument Technician or in a similar role. Experience in power plant is preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong understanding of instrumentation principles, calibration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with various types of instruments, including pressure transmitters, flow meters, and control valves.
• Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and SCADA systems is a plus.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications or licenses are advantageous.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Working Conditions:
• The role may require working in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and may involve exposure to hazardous conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as necessary.
• Flexibility to work on-call or overtime as required.
