Introduction

An Instructional Designer is responsible for creating compelling learning activities and course content, working with subject matter experts to identify training needs, applying instructional design theories and methods, and utilizing multimedia tools to enhance the learning process.




In this role the candidate will be able to design meaningful learning experiences working alongside on important components like project management, relationship management, research, etc.



Your Role and Responsibilities

• Designs persona-based educational content to develop clients, partners, and internal employees.
• Defines and documents learning objectives aligned with learning needs.
• Conducts research and collaborates directly with subject matter experts.
• Identifies best modality for delivery and leveraging content development tools available.
• Designs and develops engaging, meaningful, creative instructional material from start to finish. Instructional materials include self-paced courses, instructor-led courses, curriculum, student guides, and other training materials as needed based on adult-learning best practices.
• Manages content development timeline to ensure timely delivery of designs.
• Facilitates learning experiences as needed.
• Has strong verbal and written communication skills which can be leveraged to influence and educate key internal stakeholders about decisions and strategies.
• Tasks are generally well defined, focus on one persona at a time, and can be completed using standard processes and tools.
Works under the guidance of more senior team members.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 2-5 years of industry experience in instructional design
• In-depth understanding of instructional design models and learning theories
• Understanding of Bloom's taxonomy
• Concrete verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of developing content for SaaS industry and software products
• Excellent relationship-building skills
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in creating content to support self-paced and instructor-led trainings
• Ability to navigate learning management systems
• Clear and effective curriculum-planning skills
• Strong project timeline planning skills
• Familiarity with Camtasia, Adobe creative suite, Microsoft 365 applications

This job requires you to be fully COVID-19 vaccinated prior to your start date and proof of vaccination status will be required before your start date.
