The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning and development, a strong understanding of instructional design principles, and the ability to create engaging and effective learning materials. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, educators, and other stakeholders to design and develop high-quality educational content across various platforms and formats.Responsibilities:
- Visionary Leadership: Lead our team of Learning Designers with a focus on creating innovative and impactful learning solutions.
- Team Development: Guide, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of Learning Designers and Coordinators to develop comprehensive learning and development programs.
- Process Improvement: Develop and refine consistent processes and standards for creating learning and development solutions that meet industry standards, trends, and technological advancements.
- Collaborative Environment: Promote a culture of collaboration and innovation, fostering creativity and professional growth within the team.
- Operational Management: Oversee the operational workflow, including intake processes, resource planning, and project scheduling to enhance team efficiency and focus.
- Performance Tracking: Ensure that deliverables are tracked, measured, reported, and resources are effectively allocated.
- Program Oversight: Supervise the design and implementation of learning and development programs that align with organizational objectives and support the Instructional Design process using methods like ADDIE, Agile, and SAM.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal partners, external vendors, and industry experts to gather insights, ensure alignment, and drive innovative design solutions.
- Modern Learning Solutions: Develop and deliver a contemporary learning experience utilizing online, digital, and virtual platforms and techniques.
- Technology Influence: Influence the selection and ongoing updates to learning technology platforms, LMS, and self-serve learning platforms, ensuring alignment with business strategies and partner needs.
- Leadership Experience: 4-5 years of leadership experience, preferably leading a learning instructional design team.
- Leadership and Coaching: Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and leverage team strengths for optimal results and collaboration.
- Digital Learning Expertise: Proficiency in digital learning solutions and technology, including experience with LMS.
- Instructional Design Knowledge: Expert knowledge of modern adult learning techniques, instructional design (ADDIE, SAM, etc.), creative writing, and best practices for learning design teams.
- Relationship Building: Strong skills in building and fostering crucial business relationships with internal and external partners to achieve optimal results.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation abilities.
- Strategic and Analytical Thinking: Strong strategic mindset, critical thinking, and sense-making skills to drive process improvements and develop mature learning practices.
- Growth Mindset: Demonstrates a growth and change mindset with progressive and creative thinking to drive change and continuous improvement.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Initiative, analytical, negotiating, and problem-solving skills to handle emerging challenges.
