Job Title: Institutional Equity Back Office Officer

Reports to: Head of Back Office/Operations

Location: Mumbai & Baroda

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Institutional Equity Back Office Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing operational support for our institutional equity business, ensuring timely and accurate processing of trades, settlements, and other related activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Trade Processing:

1. Verify trade details, confirm trades with brokers/dealers.
2. Process trades in internal systems, ensure accurate booking.
3. Manage trade cancellations, corrections, and reversals.

Settlements:

1. Coordinate with custodians, ensure timely settlement.
2. Monitor and resolve settlement fails.
3. Manage cash and securities movements.

Client Onboarding:

1. Collect and verify client documentation.
2. Set up client accounts, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Coordinate with internal teams for account activation.

Compliance and Risk:

1. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (SEBI, RBI, etc.).
2. Identify and mitigate operational risks.
3. Implement internal controls, procedures.

Reporting and Reconciliation:

1. Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports for management.
2. Reconcile internal records with external parties (brokers, custodians).
3. Investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Other Responsibilities:

1. Provide support for audits, internal controls.
2. Participate in process improvement initiatives.
3. Collaborate with front office, middle office teams.

Requirements:

Education:

- Graduate degree in Finance, Commerce, or related field.

Experience:

- 2-5 years of experience in equity back office operations.
- Experience in institutional equity, brokerage, or investment banking.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of equity markets, trading, and settlement processes.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (SEBI, RBI, etc.).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.

Certifications:

- NISM certifications (Equity Derivatives, Currency Derivatives).
- CFA/CA/ICWA (desirable).

Salary Range:

No bar for the right candidate

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?250,000.00 - ?400,000.00 per year
