job summaryOur event ticket firm needs an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join our team. This position involves taking incoming calls, booking tickets for customers and processing incoming ticket reservations through our proprietary online portal. The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for handling customer inquiries promptly and effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. We experience an extremely high call volume, so its important to maximize your time on the phone before moving on to the next caller. In the future, this position might include outgoing calls as well.Inside Sales Representative responsibilities and dutiesThe responsibilities and duties section is the most important part of the job description.   • Answer phones and book reservations for customers based on availability listed in the system
  • Upsell tickets to clients by recommending higher-end seats or suggesting VIP tickets
  • Process online reservations and update the system to reflect the new status for each event
  • Inform customers of alternative events, concerts or promotions if they are unable to book the tickets they originally wanted
  • Respond swiftly and courteously to customer complaints or inquiries
  • Follow the suggested script provided to all Inside Sales Representatives
  • Capture customer information, including addresses and phone numbers, for future follow-up
  • Adjust your sales presentation based on success/fail averages
  • Build rapport with customers through friendly, engaging communication

  • 2+ years inside sales experience (incoming call preferred)

  • Knowledge of event ticket registration software a plus
  • Proven track record of successful sales experience preferred
