DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
Supports the customer-facing sales team through the "rhythm of sales" process, from lead to close. Executes and supports select activities with limited supervision to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond to electronic customer inquiries (e.g., emails, forms) and customer calls, escalating complex cases as needed.
• Compile budgetary quotes for simple jobs, including gathering technical data, customer presentations, and lead times for the sales team.
• Schedule and assist with customer visits and events, including preparation and execution.
• Process orders, issue order acknowledgments, invoices, and shipping notices for simple jobs.
• Communicate order status, inventory updates, and other relevant information to the sales team.
• Assist in resolving customer issues, including shipment and post-sale support.
• Compile, analyze, and report inventory/stock levels, adhering to established procedures.
• Actively support branch personnel in retail sales, performing well-documented and repetitive tasks.
• Ensure timely processing of dealer claims and proper dealership actions.
• Maintain accurate sales entries, reporting, and forecasting through Cummins systems.
• Mentor and develop Inside Sales staff to improve skills and ensure effective performance.
• Facilitate communication and coordination across the Sales function and other departments to support customer satisfaction and sales goals.
