• Designing and developing: Creating software robots, or "bots", that can mimic human actions and interact with applications

• Testing and deploying: Testing automated solutions and deploying RPA components

• Collaborating: Working with business analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs

• Supporting: Supporting the launch and implementation of RPA solutions, and assisting with quality assurance

• Documenting: Creating process and end-user documentation, and producing test documentation

• Maintaining: Creating, maintaining, and supporting existing robots

• Developing libraries: Developing and maintaining RPA framework libraries

• Troubleshooting: Troubleshooting production issues

Mandatory skill sets:

• Debugging and testing

RPA developers need to know how to determine which tests should be performed and how frequently.

• Adaptability

RPA developers need to be able to remain flexible and innovative in diverse situations.

• Attention to detail

RPA developers need to be able to identify and rectify even the minutest of errors.

• RPA platform skills

RPA developers need experience with RPA tools, such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism.

• RPA certification
