We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Global Business Services team as an Ingredient Data Enrichment Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for reading and analyzing manufacturer documents related to Bayers products in Pharmaceuticals, Crop Science and Consumer Health extracting relevant ingredient information, and enriching data in Excel. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the accuracy and completeness of ingredient data to support our product development and regulatory compliance efforts. A strong background in chemistry, excellent research skills, and proficiency in Excel are essential for success in this positionROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review manufacturer documents, such as product specifications, safety data sheets (SDS), and product dossiers, to extract relevant ingredient information.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of chemical compositions and properties
Research and verify ingredient names, CAS numbers, synonyms, and other relevant identifiers to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Enter and organize ingredient data in Excel spreadsheets, following established formats and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, product supply, and quality control, to address data-related inquiries and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of data management best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection protocols throughout the data enrichment process.
WHO YOU ARE:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, pharmacology or a related scientific field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience working with chemical ingredients, preferably in a consumer health, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of chemical nomenclature, properties, and interactions.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documents, including safety data sheets (SDS), certificates of analysis (CoA), and product specifications.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and guidelines governing consumer health products.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Ability to organize and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present data-driven insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software is an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement.
