The Role
As an Infrastructure Specialist- WebSphere Application server at Kyndryl is project-based subject matter experts in all thing\'s infrastructure \xe2\x80\x93 good at providing analysis, documenting and diagramming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally \xe2\x80\x9cfiguring it out.\xe2\x80\x9d This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

There are two halves to this role: First, contributing to current projects where you analyze problems and tech issues, offer solutions, and test, modify, automate, and integrate systems. And second, long-range strategic planning of IT infrastructure and operational execution. This role isn\xe2\x80\x99t specific to any one platform, so you\xe2\x80\x99ll need a good feel for all of them. And because of this, you\xe2\x80\x99ll experience variety and growth at Kyndryl that you won\xe2\x80\x99t find anywhere else.

You\xe2\x80\x99ll be involved early to offer solutions, help decide whether something can be done, and identify the technical and timeline risks up front. Required Technical and Professional Experience

• 6+ Years of Experience in WebSphere Administration.
• Proficiency in WebSphere Patching and SSL renewal procedures, ensuring the continuous security and performance of the environment.
• Managing SSL renewal processes to ensure the security of the WebSphere environment.
• Troubleshooting any issues related to WebSphere Patching, SSL renewal, and other technical aspects, providing timely resolutions.
• Configuring and maintaining WebSphere V7.0, V8.0, and other relevant versions, including backup-config and restore-config profiles.
• Leading and coordinating with third parties to expedite the resolution of change requests related to WebSphere Patching and SSL renewal.
• Monitoring and optimizing WebSphere performance, conducting capacity planning as needed.
• Providing Level 1/2/3 Support for WebSphere-related incidents and requests, collaborating with other team members for effective problem resolution.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field.
• You should be able to support BAU responsibilities ensuring the up & running of application(s) 24 x 7, Monitoring Service now incidents and leading them to resolution, follow change management procedures, assisting in problem management and providing RCA inputs.
• Conducting WebSphere Patching across all versions of WAS in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
• Possess experience in monitoring, tuning, optimizing WebSphere performance, and adept at capacity planning to maintain optimal system performance.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues in a timely manner.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross- functional teams.
