In this role, you will provide leadership to business stakeholders and technology teams on strategic initiatives to integrate or divest companies in a structured way. We partner with technology teams to design or consult on solutions that ensure the continued stability, resilience and security of the data and processing for any entity we are acquiring or divesting.

This is an "Individual Contributor" role and does not involve any line management. However, you will manage initiatives allocated to you and work with internal engineering teams and third-party suppliers if appropriate.
Responsibilities :
Assist the M&A Team to achieve their objectives on each acquisition, merger or divestiture
Collaborate with product and technology leaders across S&P Global to understand their priorities and strategies for each project
Ability to produce clear, concise, relevant, and accurate technical recommendations based on information gathered from a variety of stakeholders and SMEs
Provide strategic and technical guidance to senior management, business technology project teams and functional organisations
Thought leader who provides strategic direction during Project Team meetings and executive workshops
Be aware of and help drive S&P Global's technology strategy
Provide overall technical leadership surrounding integration estimates and synergies associated with acquisitions
Create and maintain documentation in relation to the role.
What We're Looking For :
Uniquely, we are targeting a leader that can pivot from vision development to tactical problem-solving when required. Confidentiality is an important aspect of the role; data, information and direct contact must be governed according to M&A best practices. Typically, you will have 15+ years of progressive technology experience and 5+ years of experience in Infrastructure Architecture, although there is flexibility depending on the candidate's career history. A background of working directly with global customers and colleagues is highly desirable.
The applicant should possess or demonstrate a number of key proficiencies -
Experience with M&A integration / divestiture processes
Proven experience in Infrastructure Solution Architecture
First-rate architectural knowledge of either Linux or Windows, Databases (MS-SQL or Oracle DB with RAC), Web, Messaging, storage, networking and virtualization
AWS certified Associate or Professional Architect with preferably one years of designing with AWS
Strong understanding of HA/DR technologies
Good understanding of security technologies and processes
On-going awareness of infrastructure developments in the IT industry
Knowledge of the business drivers and constraints with the Financial Services sector.
The applicant will also need:
Strong influencing and presentation skills
Awareness of budgeting and financial controls
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Able to progress multiple tasks at the same time
Excellent communication / stakeholder management skills
