About the Role:

The Team: The Infrastructure team is a global team split across the US, Canada and the UK. The team is responsible for building and maintaining platforms used by Index Management teams to calculate and rebalance our high profile indices.
The Impact: You will be responsible for the development and expansion of platforms which calculate and rebalance indices for S&P Dow Jones Indices. This will ensure that relevant teams have continuous access to up to date benchmarks and indices.

In this role, you will be a key player in the Infrastructure Engineering team where you will be managing and coordinating the resources and processes to deliver IT infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and with high quality. This includes managing project teams, communications, risk, scope, schedule, cost, quality, and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Define project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value; organize and lead project status and working meetings; prepare and distribute progress reports; manage risks and issues; correct deviations from plans; and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.
Assist in team development while holding team accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work; and mentoring and developing team members.
Define and manage a well-defined project management process and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management.
Monitor and track the progress of all infrastructure project tasks to ensure they are completed on time and within scope.
Regularly update and maintain comprehensive project status reports to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and any changes in scope or timeline.
Collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure alignment of project goals and to facilitate the efficient use of resources.
Regularly review project processes and make necessary improvements to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor the delivery of services to ensure they meet the agreed-upon standards and expectations.
Coordinate and schedule meetings with teams in, vendors, and stakeholders to discuss project progress and address any issues or concerns.
Accurately record and distribute meeting minutes to ensure all stakeholders are informed of meeting outcomes and action items.
Regularly assess the health of the project, identifying any areas of concern and taking corrective action as necessary.
Establish clear project milestones and track progress towards achieving these milestones.
Evaluate and prioritize projects based on organizational needs and resource availability.
Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and the corporate Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring alignment with corporate project management standards and practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering or equivalent qualification is preferred or relevant equivalent work experience
Proven experience in IT project management.
Knowledge of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network & communications, server utilization, virtual environments, storage, and application support.
Good understanding on IT Infrastructure, Cloud etc.
Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates should have a minimum of 12+ years industry experience in cloud and Infrastructure.
Understanding of IT infrastructure domains including data centers, network & communications, server utilization, virtual environments, and storage. Familiarity with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Proven experience in managing large and complex projects. Ability to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals. Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
Strong organizational skills with a keen focus on detail and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
Certifications like PMP (Project Management Professional), PRINCE2, or ITIL can be beneficial.
Experience in managing relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
