At one of the world\'s most iconic financial institutions, where infrastructure is of paramount importance, you can play a pivotal role.As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity & Tech Controls team, you utilize strong knowledge of software, applications, and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Apply your technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies across multiple applications of moderate scope.Job responsibilities

  • Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applications
  • Resolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation path
  • Executes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problems
  • Drives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applications
  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and observability solutions to ensure the availability and performance of all systems and applications.
  • Configure and manage monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, and the ELK Stack.
  • Develop and maintain automated scripts and tools for monitoring and alerting using languages like Python, Bash, or Perl.
  • Integrate monitoring solutions with CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous observability throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Analyze metrics, logs, and traces to identify trends, anomalies, and potential performance issues.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations to provide real-time insights into system health and performance.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to define monitoring requirements and improve system reliability.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on infrastructure disciplines concepts and 3+ years applied experience
  • Strong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, databases, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessments
  • Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Scripting, Python, etc.)
  • 8+ years of experience in monitoring and observability roles, with a strong background in IT operations, DevOps, or SRE.
  • AWS Certified /Cloud certified (Will add it later)
  • Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace/AppDynamics, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, and ELK Stack.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Perl.
  • Gains experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their monitoring services.
  • Demonstrates strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and their observability solutions.
  • Familiarity with log management tools like ELK Stack, Fluentd, or Graylog.
  • Understanding of network protocols and infrastructure components.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Certifications related to monitoring and observability (e.g., Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer).
  • Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Knowledge of compliance and security best practices related to monitoring and observability.
  • Familiarity with incident management frameworks and best practices.
