The Information Security Analyst plays a critical role in fortifying MathWorks\' global security posture, offering support for vulnerability management, security operations, and incident response. This role involves monitoring security alerts, managing SIEM and endpoint detection tools, and leading vulnerability triage and zero-day responses. The analyst will enhance security protocols, troubleshoot issues, and implement new technologies, ensuring the protection of information assets and compliance with security standards across all international locations.   • As an International Information Security Analyst located in India, you will be at the forefront of MathWorks\' efforts to strengthen our global security infrastructure. Your role involves operational security, ensuring proactive defenses against cyber threats and enhancing our security capabilities. Your responsibilities will include:
    • Conduct vulnerability triage to assess and prioritize vulnerabilities for remediation.
    • Respond to zero-day vulnerabilities with appropriate measures to protect against emerging threats.
    • Monitor and analyze security alerts across various platforms to identify potential threats.
    • Manage and optimize key security tools, including SIEM and endpoint detection, for international operations.
    • Support incident response activities to mitigate and investigate security incidents.
    • Offer tailored security support for MathWorks\' global offices, enhancing their local security posture.


Required Knowledge and Education:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity framework and industry-standard security practices.
  • Understanding of global cybersecurity threats, vulnerability management, and incident response strategies.
  • Knowledge of SIEM tools and Endpoint Security tools.
  • Basic understanding of network security, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other network security tools.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Experience in Vulnerability Management.
  • Proficiency in monitoring and analyzing security alerts and responding appropriately.
  • Basic experience with scripting or automation tools to enhance security processes.
  • Excellent communication skills for supporting international offices and collaborating with global teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative and timely completion of tasks.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in cybersecurity.

  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
