: Industrial Engineer

Position Overview:

The Industrial Engineer will play a crucial role in improving operational efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity within the textile manufacturing facility. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this individual will analyze existing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize workflow and resource utilization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in industrial engineering principles and methodologies, with a focus on process improvement and lean manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct time and motion studies to analyze existing manufacturing processes, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements for enhanced productivity and cost reduction.

2. Utilize industrial engineering techniques such as work sampling, line balancing, and process mapping to optimize workflow and labor utilization.

3. Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to identify and resolve operational issues, ensuring seamless production flow and adherence to quality standards.

4. Develop and implement efficient production schedules, considering demand forecasts, resource availability, and production capacity.

5. Design and improve workstations, equipment layout, and material handling systems to maximize efficiency and minimize ergonomic risks.

6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline material flow, reduce waste, and implement lean manufacturing principles.

7. Conduct root cause analysis for production delays, defects, and inefficiencies, and propose corrective actions.

8. Evaluate and recommend improvements to manufacturing equipment, processes, and technologies to enhance productivity and product quality.

9. Monitor and analyze production data, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to measure performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

10. Provide training and guidance to production personnel on new processes, methods, and tools to ensure successful implementation and sustained improvements.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.

2. Proven experience in industrial engineering roles within a textile manufacturing industry or a similar production environment.

3. Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, methodologies, and tools, including time and motion studies, work sampling, line balancing, and process improvement.

4. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and tools such as Six Sigma, 5S, value stream mapping, and Kaizen.

5. Proficiency in using industrial engineering software and tools for data analysis, process simulation, and optimization.

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and drive implementation.

7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results within set deadlines.

8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

9. Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?16,000.00 - ?18,000.00 per month
