The Supply chain Pro fulfillment team collaborates with the Pro organization, flatbed distribution center, store, and contact center associates to achieve a seamless delivery experience to Lowe's customers

Job Summary:


The Supply Chain Operations Development Senior Analyst collaborates with the Pro organization, flatbed distribution center, store, and contact center associates to achieve a seamless delivery experience to Lowe's customers. This role performs the customer delivery subject matter experience to establish a new customer delivery supply chain network with the goal of next day delivery of bulk items to professional jobsites and customer's homes. The Supply Chain Operations Development Senior Analyst optimizes inventory flow through the supply chain network by understanding, monitoring, and controlling flow parameters and network capacities through close partnerships with supply, storage, delivery, transportation, stores, IT, legal, real estate, and vendor partners and the development of advanced planning tools.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

• Defines, coordinates, and executes logistics plan (network inbound / outbound / storage) data collection and analysis to support the evaluation of needed resources as supply chain workflow conditions and customer demand changes
• Lead or participate in (depending on project size) the documentation of functional requirements for approved projects. Interface with other groups in Supply Chain as needed to determine cross-functional impacts
• Define the requirements, create use cases, and support user acceptance testing of IT solution associated with integration between Lowe's systems and third party logistics providers
• Work across supply chain, IT, real estate, and training and development to deliver an implementation plan to new Flatbed Fulfillment Center's
• Create Flatbed Fulfillment Center processes and standard operating procedures leveraging current procedures from Lowe's Pro Fulfillment Playbook and from lessons learned. Including how to handle customer calls, working with third party logistics on delivery, communicating with other distribution nodes, and coordinating with the stores
• Participate in the selection of third party logistics vendors for delivery operations and final mile delivery to end customers
• Leverages data analytics and planning tools that analyzes optimal markets and locations for new Flatbed Fulfillment Center's based on user defined constraints
• Manages internal tools and directs individuals to monitor results, alerting supply chain management to trends or conditions that may adversely impact supply chain operations and identifying opportunities to improve flow
• Provide regular project status updates to management and business stakeholders via status reports (smaller efforts) or project update meetings
• Test completed functionality and provide training (handbook or classroom) to end users as needed

Years of Experience


Overall 6+ years of Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Supply chain Management
• 3+ years of experience in Project Management
• 2+ years of experience in Forecasting, replenishment planning, or inventory management experience in a high velocity industry
• 2+ years of experience in optimization principals, modeling, and tools
• 1+ years of experience of S&OP/S&OE

Education Qualification & Certifications (optional)

Required Minimum Qualifications :


Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or Related Field

Skill Set Required

Primary Skills (must have)

• Experience in data mining tools - SQL
• Experience in visualization tools - Excel, PowerBI
• Experience in analytical & automation tools - R/Python
• Prior experience in building reports to provide visibility to business
• Experience in building analytical models, proficient in mathematical and Statistical analysis
• Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and accurate
• Working knowledge of Merchandising decision-making tools for Suppliers, Items and Sourcing to include financial determinations
• Familiar with Inventory Management, Planning, Forecasting, and Transportation processes and systems
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including the ability to develop analytical documents for presentation to management

Secondary Skills (desired)

• Experience in MS Access
• JDA Demand & Fulfillment experience
• Experience in or knowledge of Supply Chain Planning and Optimization through use of modeling and simulation tools
