Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Indian Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Indian cuisine, including knowledge of traditional cooking methods, spices, and regional dishes. The Indian Cook will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality Indian dishes that align with our restaurant's standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation and Cooking:
Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Indian dishes, including appetizers, curries, tandoori items, and desserts.
Follow recipes and maintain consistency in flavor, texture, and presentation.
Ensure the proper use of spices and ingredients to bring authentic Indian flavors to each dish.
Menu Contribution:
Assist in creating and developing new Indian dishes and menu items.
Maintain seasonal and regional variations of Indian cuisine to keep the menu diverse and appealing.
Kitchen Organization and Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized work environment in compliance with food safety regulations.
Keep inventory of ingredients and ensure the proper storage of items to avoid spoilage.
Time Management:
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that orders are prepared and served in a timely manner.
Ensure food is ready to serve at the correct temperature and in an aesthetically pleasing manner.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in managing or supervising kitchen staff.
Knowledge of vegetarian and vegan Indian dishes.
Basic understanding of nutrition and dietary restrictions in Indian cuisine.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and carry heavy pots, pans, and ingredients as required.
Manual dexterity to use kitchen tools and equipment.
