We have around 30,000 staff various locations around the world including our key hubs in EMEA, APAC and North America and our global hubs in Hangzhou, China, Krakow and Gdansk in Poland and Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai in India.Functionally, we are the backbone and nerve center supporting the entire investment servicing lifecycle across our key asset classes - Asset Management, Asset Owners, Insurance, Alternatives including PE, RE and Hedge and the Official Institutions and a wide spectrum of investment servicing products.Global Delivery India is an integral part of our global operations delivering custody, accounting, fund administration, alternatives, middle office, transfer agency and on-boarding services across multiple client segments, investment structures and domiciles.We are looking to hire for India Lead of Middle Office & Custody for Alternatives, a part of the GD India Management team of ~200 employees across various locations in India.This role is advertised to be in Bangalore or Hyderabad.What you will be responsible forCritical business priorities:

  • Manage Operations for multiple locations including cross-border operations for Middle Office & Custody - Alternatives.
  • Domain knowledge of Middle Office & Custody Operations and be able to give solutions in case of issues
  • Understand Regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a point of contact in case of any issue or escalation
  • Drive transformation objectives for these functions and partner closely with GTS
  • Evolve the operating model
  • Significantly improve the control environment and productivity
  • Build better end-to-end production with across Global Delivery processing teams and hub locations
  • Effectively partner with Global Delivery, IT and Client side of the organization
  • Improve quality of service delivery within the business and at the same time improve productivity using productivity tools.
  • Inspire and drive high performance in individuals and the team, enabling each member to understand their role in team and organization success.

Role Definition:
  • As a member of the Global Delivery team, actively execute on MO & Custody operations for Alternatives in India, including prioritized focus on continuous process improvement and leveraging best practices and tools, automation, and centers of excellence/capability units to drive operational excellence, margin improvement and outstanding client experience, while increasing capacity to support growth objectives.
  • Drive a culture of innovation and transformation throughout the team and partner with Business leaders to establish strategic plans that align with the company vision and goals and obtain buy-in from all staff.
  • Challenge employees to think creatively and demonstrate the advantages of centralizations, global operating model and utilizing technology within our operational areas.
  • Ensure day to day service delivery and operational risk management across a range of businesses, supported by teams globally.
  • Implement a scalable target operating model, leveraging a global footprint to optimize cost benefits and implement a follow-the-sun approach to deliver a truly global support model.
  • Work closely with leaders of partner functions in Technology & Transformation to optimize capacity management via technology investments & managing day to day technology issues.
  • Partner with Sales, Relationship & Product teams to support GD India management of key client relationships and service delivery, and new business origination and closing.
  • Key leader in new business reviews, to ensure new business aligns to our existing operating model and effectively drives operational efficiencies and profit margins.
  • Work closely with Product Management to establish the appropriate investment roadmap to optimize service delivery, grow capacity and establish new product features for our clients.
  • Identify operational risk and formulate solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Leverage KPI management to ensure all businesses are aligned with SLAs and client expectations.
  • Develop leaders and create sustainable succession plans for self and direct reports.

  • Cross-cultural awareness and the ability to connect with colleagues globally in a collaborative, open work environment. To serve as a role model of acceptance and flexibility in dealing with colleagues with varying backgrounds.
The candidate for the India Lead of Investor Services will possess and/or be able to demonstrate:
  • A proven track record at a senior level to lead product functions in Global Delivery operations
  • Over 18 years\' experience running large operations teams within financial services.
  • Technical knowledge of MO & Custody activities and associated regulations
  • Enterprise leadership skills managing client service delivery and business growth.
  • Experience interfacing at a senior level with clients, service providers and regulators.
  • Strong team leadership, coaching, mentoring, communication and presentation skills
  • Focus on talent management, optimizing technology and managing operational risk
  • Energy, enthusiasm and an obsession with service quality and delivering to our clients
  • An ability to think strategically, managing complexity, change and multiple priorities
  • A successful track record of delivering major operational or platform improvements
  • A relevant graduate degree or masters qualification that can be leveraged in this role
