Job Description

As an Experienced Paginator, you will play a crucial role in the design and production of Books, Journals and Magazines. Your expertise in InDesign, XML workflows, and typesetting standards will be vital in delivering high-quality publications that meet industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and format book layouts using Adobe InDesign, ensuring adherence to publishing standards.
• Develop and maintain InDesign templates for various book formats, including Fiction, Non-Fiction, K-12 books, and Journals.
• Collaborate with editorial teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
• Implement changes based on feedback from authors, editors, and design teams.
• Ensure consistency in design elements, typography, and layout across multiple titles.
• Conduct quality checks on paginated materials to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
• Stay updated on best practices in pagination and design trends within the publishing industry.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in pagination and layout design, specifically using Adobe InDesign.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and layout aesthetics.
• Proficiency in creating and using InDesign templates.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and MS Office.
• Familiarity with print production processes and specifications.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is an advantage.
