Follow us on: | | |The Income Tax Team Leader at NIQ will oversee the preparation, analysis, and filing of income tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations across all jurisdictions in which the company operates. Reporting to the Income Tax Global Lead, this role involves managing a team of tax professionals, coordinating with various internal departments, and implementing strategies to optimize the company\'s tax position. The Income Tax Team Leader will play a crucial role in mitigating tax risks and ensuring accurate tax reporting.Key Responsibilities * Income Tax Compliance: Manage the preparation and timely filing of federal, state, and international income tax returns to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and professional development.
• Tax Planning: Assist the Income Tax Global Lead in developing and implementing tax planning strategies to optimize the company\'s tax position and minimize liabilities.
• Audit Support: Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of tax provisions for financial reporting purposes in accordance with accounting standards.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of tax reporting and compliance activities.
• Risk Management: Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assess their impact on the company, and develop strategies to address potential tax risks.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments, including finance, accounting, and legal, to ensure accurate tax reporting and compliance.
• Technology Utilization: Leverage tax software and other technology tools to streamline tax processes and improve data accuracy

QualificationsQualifications and Skills

• Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree such as a Master\'s in Taxation or a related discipline is preferred. CPA or equivalent certification required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in income tax compliance and planning, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, as well as proficiency in tax preparation and financial reporting software (e.g., OneSource, CorpTax).
• Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, manage, and develop a team of tax professionals.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and financial data.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
• Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement effective tax strategies that align with the company\'s overall business objectives.
• Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
